About Enerhash

Enerhash is pioneering the integration of computational infrastructure into energy systems to optimize electricity generation and reduce emissions.
Our mission is to drive global energy efficiency. We deploy advanced technologies to minimize our partners’ environmental impact. We currently operate in 7 countries.

Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced AI Infrastructure & Data Center Engineer to play a key role in designing our AI-focused data centers and GPU-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate is right at home in the world of high-density racks, liquid cooling, and high-speed networking — and naturally thinks across both IT and energy systems.

In this role, you’ll design and optimize the full physical data center infrastructure tailored for AI workloads: from power supply and cooling, through rack layout, all the way to GPU cluster architecture. You’ll work closely with electrical engineers, energy market specialists, and the product team to build scalable, efficient, and reliable AI compute capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Data Center & Infrastructure Design:

  • Design the physical layout of AI and HPC-focused data centers (rack layout, cabling, power distribution, cooling)
  • Architect redundancy systems (N+1, 2N) to ensure high availability
  • Design and integrate optimal infrastructure components (UPS, PDU, CRAC/CRAH, direct-to-chip, immersion liquid cooling)
  • Design GPU cluster infrastructure (NVIDIA A100/H100 or similar GPU ecosystems, high-speed networking: InfiniBand, 100/400 GbE)
  • Optimize PUE and other efficiency metrics in collaboration with the electrical engineering team

Energy & Systems Integration:

  • Integrate data centers with various power generation sources (e.g., power plants, renewable energy sources, grid connections)
  • Develop power capacity planning for AI workloads and future expansion
  • Define DCIM and monitoring tools and support their implementation for energy and thermal management

Project & Execution:

  • Support technical design of greenfield and brownfield data center projects from concept to completion
  • Manage vendor and manufacturer relationships (cooling, rack, power, GPU servers) and evaluate technical proposals
  • Participate in technical oversight during build-out and installation phases, including on-site inspections
  • Prepare technical documentation, layouts, specifications, and operational handover materials

Financial & Strategic Support:

  • Provide technical input for CAPEX/OPEX planning on AI infrastructure projects
  • Recommend technology directions (liquid cooling architectures, next-gen GPU platforms, energy efficiency solutions)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, AI/HPC, or high-performance IT systems design
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution and cooling systems in data center environments (UPS, PDU, CRAC/CRAH, Direct Liquid Cooling)
  • Hands-on experience designing or operating GPU-based systems or HPC/AI cluster infrastructure
  • Familiarity with high-speed networking (100/400 GbE, InfiniBand) and network topology design
  • Practical knowledge of PUE, capacity planning, and TIER classifications
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership: make complex technical decisions in a structured way
  • Strong communication skills: able to align with engineers, vendors, energy partners, and business stakeholders
  • Confident English proficiency (written and spoken) for collaboration with international partners

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI- or GPU-focused data center projects, hyperscale, colocation, or edge environments
  • Basic experience with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion360) or willingness to learn
  • Hands-on experience designing or operating direct-to-chip or immersion liquid cooling systems
  • Background in energy projects or power plant / grid integration
  • Genuine interest in sustainable energy, green IT, and AI infrastructure

What We Offer

  • 8-hour workday, modern office in downtown Budapest (Paulay Ede Street), with international travel to project sites as needed
  • Home office flexibility (minimum 1 day/week), company laptop and phone provided
  • Competitive, senior-level salary range + bonus opportunity (we’ll define the exact range together based on market benchmarks)
  • Room to work independently: no micromanagement — we operate on trust and professional accountability
  • Employee stock ownership program: you’re not just building the infrastructure, you share in the company’s growth
  • Energetic, small, supportive team
  • International environment: operating in 7 countries at the intersection of AI and energy
  • The opportunity to shape the next generation of AI data center architecture

This Role Is NOT For You If

If you’re primarily looking to manage traditional server rooms and have no interest in GPU-heavy, liquid-cooled, high-density systems — this probably isn’t your place. If it bothers you that the work spans IT, energy, and physical infrastructure simultaneously, and you don’t enjoy solving complex, multi-variable problems, you’d likely find this role frustrating.
